Project - Fonterra foods buffer manifold project.

The main valve manifold in the foods department redline was replaced with a new manifold. The project consisted of the disconnection and removal of the old manifold. Followed by installation, wiring and commissioning of the new manifold. This was installed and commissioned over a 4-day period. The new manifold allows for more user-friendly serviceability and maintenance. Installation as per Fonterra Engineering Standards (FES)

Included in the project were the following services:

  • Pre-wire & connect 33 x Single port Alfa Laval think top valves.

  • Pre-wire & connect 37 x Three port Alfa Laval think top valves.

  • Relocate & reconnect 5 x manifold pumps.

  • Relocate & reconnect 4 x flowmeters.

  • Install new AB flex PLC rack into existing IO panel.

  • Commission all of the above alongside Fonterra’s automation team.
